Libraire. De 1753 à 1758 au moins, travaille en association avec Thomas Durham. En 1769, prend pour apprenti son neveu George Nicol, qui devient son associé puis lui succédera après son décès, en continuant à publier sous la raison "(David) Wilson and (George) Nicol".
