Umanista. Nato a Vidigueira (Portogallo) nel 1524, morto a Roma nel 1581. imorò a Roma dove ricoprì incarichi di varia natura; fu bibliotecario del cardinale Sforza. La sua raccolta libraria fu lasciata in eredità alla Congregazione dell'Oratorio.
Pisarz i uczony portugalski. Pochodził z Vidigueiry. Działał głównie we Włoszech. Opiekował się biblioteką kardynała Sforzy.
