General Note

Libraire. - Fils et successeur de Charles II Corbett. En apprentissage de mai 1748 à juin 1755. Continue la publication de "The Whitehall Evening Post" lancé par son père. Tient aussi une loterie. Se retire, ruiné, vers 1771, mais semble avoir exercé épisodiquement la librairie par la suite (1776-1777 ; 1781 ; 1792-1796 au moins). Acquiert le titre de baronnet en 1774. Pensionné cependant par la Stationers' Company, il travaille parfois comme ouvrier relieur. Serait mort dans la misère, âgé de 76 ans environ, en mai 1808
