Libraire. "Alderman" de Londres en 1798. Shériff en 1801-1802. En 1765, associé à Andrew Millar dont il est l'apprenti depuis 1758 et à qui il succède en 1767. Associé à William Strahan de 1780 à 1784 ; à Andrew Strahan de 1784-1785 à 1793.
Libraire. - Natif de Bristol, fils d'un William Cadell ; baptisé le 12 nov. 1742. Établi à son compte en 1765. Se retire en 1793 au profit de son fils Thomas (III) Cadell associé à William Davies. Gouverneur du "Foundling Hospital" en 1795. Trésorier de l'"Asylum". Élu "alderman" de Walbrook ward à Londres en 1798. "Master" de la "Stationers' Company" en 1798-1799. Shériff en 1800-1801. Décédé à Londres en déc. 1802
À partir d'avril 1765, devient l'associé d'Andrew Millar dont il a été l'apprenti depuis mars 1758 et à qui il succède en 1767. Travaille en association avec William Strahan de 1780 à 1784 ; avec Andrew Strahan de 1784-1785 à 1793
