Navigateur d'origine italienne. Fils de Jean Cabot. Après la découverte de Terre-Neuve et du Labrador (1497) avec son père, il explora le río de La Plata et le Paraná jusqu'au Paraguay (après 1525). Il a réalisé une mappemonde où figurent ces découvertes. S'établit en Anglaterre.
