Imprimeur-libraire et éditeur. - Natif de Dublin. Contraint de quitter l'Irlande du fait de son engagement religio-politique. D'abord établi à New York en 1803, il est dit alors âgé de 40 ans. En 1806, il ouvre une éphémère filiale à Edenton (Caroline du Nord). Naturalisé citoyen des États-Unis en 1808, il s'établit en 1809 à Baltimore où il se spécialise dans l'édition catholique, mais fait faillite et est emprisonné pour dettes. Établi à Philadelphie avant 1817 sous la raison "B. Dornin & Co". Se retire en 1824. Décédé en 1837
