Vogel erwarb 1808 die Firma von Siegfried Leberecht Crusius und 1811 auch die von Carl August Solbrig. Am 1.4.1837 übernahm der Sohn Wilhelm Vogel die Firma, in der er schon seit 1835 Teilhaber war, noch im Jahre 1847 wurde der Name des Vaters bei der Verlagsangabe in Büchern benutzt. - Quellen: DBA I, 1311; Würffel: Lexikon dt.
