Sohn des Buchhändlers Michael Endter; seit ca. 1590 auch Buchhändler und Verleger in Nürnberg. Kaufte 1602 eine Druckerei von Katharina Dietrich, liess aber zahlreiche Drucke auch auf fremden Pressen herstellen. Sein Sohn Wolfgang Endter d. Ältere war sein Nachfolger, während der zweite Sohn Georg Endter d. J. mehr Buchbinder und Buchhändler war
